About
Filip Rak, attorney-at-law
Criminal law, white-collar crime, compliance and ESG, human rights.

I am an attorney-at-law specialising in white-collar crime, compliance and ESG advisory, and human rights. I have extensive experience in criminal cases — business crime, financial crime and general crime, including cross-border matters — as well as in commercial and civil disputes. I work with entrepreneurs, company boards and individuals.
Over the course of my career I have handled hundreds of criminal and civil proceedings. I gained my experience across a wide spectrum of organisations: from international law firms, through mid-sized firms specialising in criminal law, to a state institution — the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights.
I work for human rights and the rule of law. I support people harmed by systemic discrimination and carry out advocacy in cooperation with non-governmental organisations. I appear in the media, at conferences and in other public forums.
I studied law and philosophy within the Interdepartmental Individual Studies in the Humanities programme at the University of Warsaw. I hold a British Law Centre diploma in European and British law. I completed postgraduate studies in the law of evidence and forensic science at the Jagiellonian University.
Outside work my passions are music — I play the drums — and literature. I am a husband, a father and a dog guardian.
